annual snowboard day

Wow, that snow last week got me wanting to go snowboarding so I took Friday off and went up to Timberline lodge. Michelle wasn't working so she came with and hung out in the lodge. I got the 1 to 4pm ticket so it's a bit cheaper, but still $38. Jeez, this is why I only go once a year. It was a perfect sunny day and I got some great runs in. It was a little icy at places, but that's all right since it wasn't crowded at all. I hate standing in line at the lift.

Here is a bonus picture from the 90's before I hurt my knee. I stay on the ground now.
Heh heh, that's me really. 8)

Winter storm 2007!!!

It's just one day of snow, but it caught Portlanders off guard as usual. We got about 5 inches on Tuesday and the whole city shuts down, tons of accidents.

Our backyard.

Michelle took the MAX to work, but when she got there it was shutdown because people couldn't make it.

Michelle took this on the walk home from the MAX.

Our street, Marina Ct. The kids were having a blast building snowmen, snowball fight, and sledding around.
We had a little snowball fight too.

Michelle safe and sound at home with Hobi cat.
This is Today in Hillsboro, trying out my new camera the Canon S2. We went to the post office and the music store get some new guitar strings. There is a Thai store there selling Thai stuffs. We met the owner, her name is Lek and she seems like a nice person.

This is the new Hillsboro Civic Center. All the snow are gone today.

Christmas 2006 and more

We had a great Christmas 2006. We went to see Michelle's grandma. She is staying at an assisted living place for now.

Then Nik came to pick me up and I stayed with him and Nok came a couple of day later. We had a great time walking around, playing video game and try Ethiopian food. Nik's place is near Beverly Hills and close to little Ethiopia.
(michelle says) The Three Amigos

Michelle dad came by one day and we went to Wat Thai. It was almost closing time, but we still were able to get some Kanom Krok. They were good. Michelle's dad never been to Wat Thai before so he had a good time.

Nok dropped me off at Michelle's uncle, Randy, on Christmas day to have their traditional Christmas meal. This is Nik Bowden, Randy's son. He is going to school at SB city college now and is an intern at a local radio station. He is trying to get into that field.

Michelle and her cousins, quite a wild bunch. Aimee (next to Michelle) just married a tattoo artist so maybe I can get a discount tat. 8) His name is Chris and he is sitting next to me so he is not in this picture.

Sasha just got a great new haircut that Grandma doesn't like. Her boyfriend's name is Joe, who works in construction.

Grandma's dog Sadie is staying with Randy now. She is fun and very lick-y. The other dog is Cody, he is cute too.
