November 2010

Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Michelle made a great turkey - 12lbs. Now we got tons of turkey left for sandwiches. This is great because Michelle can't eat lunch meat and hasn't been able to take sandwich for lunch in a while.

Here is the spread - turkey and gravy, fruit salad, artichokes, roasted red potatoes, corn bread stuffing, and sparkling apple cider. We had a great nap afterward. :)

Michelle made a peach cobbler a few weeks before Thanksgiving. This one was really yummy too.
Lily is always so curious.

Beautiful morning in Portland. This was early November, it was so crisp and clear.

Michelle showing off Ryan. She just got this dress from Goodwill. She's bigger in person, the picture make her looks pretty skinny.
Another view.
Zoey was suppose to put a paw on Ryan to say hello, but she wasn't cooperating that day.
Bye for now, have a great Thanksgiving!!!!!

October

Hello everyone,
It is October in Portland. This year is very weird, we had pretty nice weather in Portland so far. It is raining today, but very warm. Last night we went to a free show and it was pretty warm when we got home at 11pm.

We got a new vehicle - Mazda5 mini van. It is a small van and have plenty of space for us. We got really good milage - 30 miles per gallon so far. This van will be perfect when Ryan gets here.

I made pork belly (3 layer pork) with kimchi stirfry. It was really good, but I don't think I will make it anymore. It is not very healthy.
Lily or Zoey? I don't know...

We went to the beach as soon as we got the new car. It was a really nice morning and the cloud rolled in after lunch. I played around with this picture a bit on the computer. Do you like it?

Some kind of rowing event going on at the waterfront. There were a bunch of crew teams.
Michelle and Ryan. She is getting noticeable.

The Armory. The city converted the old Armory in to a theater. We haven't seen a show here yet.
We got woken up this morning by the Portland Marathon. They had a band playing right around the corner, good music. A bunch of people had cowbells and whistles to encourage the runners.
Maybe Amy can come run this marathon sometime.

Ok, that's it for now.
I started a new blog check it out and tell your friends.

September

Wow, summer is over already. The weather in Portland is overcast and sprinklely. We had a really short summer this year, but that's actually ok with us. We went down to Banning and Palm Spring for a week to visit Michelle's mom and dad and Michelle also attended the Toastmaster's international contest there. It was over 100 degree everyday for the whole week, we can't handle that anymore. We took a lot of pictures, but my computer hard drive crashed and we lost all the previous week of pictures. Good thing I had a back up so we didn't lose everything. Anyway, Michelle's dad has pictures on his computer, we can get them from him later.

Michelle hanging out downtown

Here is me. Usually this spot is full of young homeless beggars, but it was clear today so we took the opportunity to take some pictures.

Symphony and fireworks from our balcony. ahhh.... we love living downtown.
beautiful Lily cat. She has been kind of mean lately and is bullying Zoey and Hobi.

carrots at the PSU farmer market

unusual sun flowers, we've never seen these before.

My beautiful baby mama :)

We went to Art in the Pearl and like this one booth a lot. can't afford $7,200 though.

August '10

We used the zipcar for the first time yesterday. I reserved it for 3 hours and we went to home depot, pet store, grocery store, Asian grocery store, and dropped stuffs off at Goodwill. We got back just in time, it working out pretty well so far. We probably rent the zipcar once every 2-3 weeks.

More pictures!!!

That's me :)

Another gratuitous Hobi shot.

I made Thai red wine chicken from the old recipe book that we had since the Siamese restaurant day.

Portland Bridge pedal today. The fire boat is out and about.
Bridge pedal people. There is no way I can pedal up that high. I'll have to walk the bike if I ever do this.

I really like my new camera. I'm still learning and I'm getting a lot of bad pictures. I think I need nicer lenses. 8)

July 2010

Hello everyone,
I quit updating the blog when I got sick last year and was too busy/lazy to take it up again.
But I just got a new camera so I'll post more pictures now!
Everything is ok. Our BMW Z3 broke down so I had to sell it for cheap, it needs a new engine or rebuild.
We probably buy a Mazda5 in 4-5 months. We'll use zipcar for now.

Lily and Syd came up to visit us. We had a great time showing them around town and went hiking a bit.
Here we are at the Ira Keller fountain around the corner from our building.

This is downtown at the new Director park.
Saturday market
We tried a flight of organic brew at Hopworks Urban Brewery. I liked it, but it was a lot of beeru right before dinner.

We went up to Seattle to meet up with Michelle's cousins, my friend Jerri, then Nik. This is from Jerri's building roof lounge.
Met up with Harsha, Nik, and Amy the next day and went to have lunch at Pike Place.
Michelle at the original Starbucks.
I got some bao from the Pike Place bao vendor. It was pretty good, but not as good as I remembered.
Some nice produce
big foot
Nik and Amy at the famous gum wall, yuk!

That's all for now. I'll post some pictures from our Thailand trip soon.
