We have another August update. This weekend is very hot 100 degree for almost 3 days. We have been doing things around town, there are a lot of free stuffs to do in Portland in August. At the Washington Park, there are free concerts for 16 days... wow!!!
Here is The Lions of Batucada. They play Brazilian festival music, pretty fun for about 10 minutes. They would be a lot of fun if they were in a parade or something, they were somewhat boring without a parade.

Sanyu! An Evening of Gospel and Much More.
This is gospel music, this is a lot more fun than the previous band.
Portland SummerFest Opera in the Park: Lucia di Lammermoor by DonizettiOpera in the park, pretty cool. They really need a subtitle screen, I had no idea what the story was all about. The singing was fun though and hey, it's free...

Roses are still nice.
On Saturday, we went to the beach. It was hot for 2-3 days now, Saturday was 100 degree and the beach was much cooler. I think it was around 70 degrees at the beach. We had breakfast at Camp 18 on the way to the beach. Big foot here.
Another Big Foot! This is Big Foot country.
We were planning to go to Manzanita, but stopped at Cannon Beach instead. It was cold and we were thinking we should put the convertible top up. Once we parked, the weather got nicer and we didn't want to drive anymore.

A lot of Portlanders went to the beach to escape from the heat. This is haystack rock, one of the most photographed feature of Oregon beaches.

time to go home, let's beat the traffic. It was really hot once we got more in land.
Today is Sunday and we're just staying home and maybe go to the pool and watch the Olympic and catch up on movies and probably go to Library. :)
